This page is intended as a resource to help you respond to unsolicited bulk e-mail (spam), probing or cracking attempts.

E-mail and Usenet abuse

If you are unsure of which domain originated the spam (unsolicited bulk (UBE) or unsolicited commercial e-mail (UCE)), please use the free reporting service from SpamCop. Be sure to send the entire message and include full headers.

If you are certain that the e-mail or posting originated with a Qwest.net customer, please forward the message with full headers to abuse@qwest.net.

You must include the following in your e-mail message:

• IP address
• Date and time of the attempt
• Time zone of the attempt

Cracking attempts and scanning

Please report any cracking or scanning issues to the ISP that manages the offending IP address. If you don't know the offending IP address, check Network Solutions - WHOIS Lookup.

For Internet abuse originating from the Qwest.net domain, please send a clip of your logs to abuse@qwest.net.

You must include the following in your e-mail message:

• IP address
• Date and time of the attempt
• Time zone of the attempt
