Changing Your Password

Your Qwest.net password is your personal key to accessing your Qwest.net account. Having a secure password assures that you are the only person with access to your account, protecting your data and your identity from misuse.

You can change your password whenever you'd like. If you change your password, be certain to write it down and keep it in a safe place.

There are three steps to changing your password:

  1. Report the change to the Qwest.net server by using the Account Manager.
  2. Change your password on your computer.
  3. If you are using Outlook Express to manage your e-mail, change your password in Outlook Express.

Instructions for each of these steps follow.

  7. Your new password will be available within 30 minutes. (Until your password change has taken effect, continue to use your old password.)
